If anyone is in the San Marcos, TX area or around it. I just wanted to let everyone know of our Dancy Symposium we are putting together on September 18, 2010. The deadline is Sept. 10 to register. This event is FREE! the only thing we ask is that you fill out a registration form so we can know who all is going to be able to make it. As part of the this Hispanic Celebration, the 49ers Foundation and Coors Light are proud to announce the kick-off of a program that will support the National Latino Peace Officers (NLPOA) of the Bay Area.

Entertainment will include performances by the Ballet Folklorico Costa de Oro, Salto Norteno, Mister JD (Reggaeton).
Activities include games, photo opportunities with spokes models and Ink Culture Tattoos.

Those arrangements are recorded by the Mariachi de la Universidad de Colima and are arranged by Maestro Zamarripa for the University of Colima. They put these morismas and sones on their own CD entitled "Sones y Jarabes". You are looking for 1. Jarabe de Colima 2. Jarabe Colimote 3. Morisma de Machetes. They created this CD to supply the music to people like me and you. Only place you can purchase this CD is directly from them. Contact the University. It is readily available. Perhaps you could make arrangements, they will be in Las Cruces NM in November for the Mariachi Conference and could mail it to you once they are here.

Thank you. I have been searching and searching and can't find the Morisma de los Machetes music. I've searched itunes, amazon, Mariachi Connection and no success. Does anyone out there have this song?
