Our family extends its deepest condolences to the Alegria webjefes on the passing of the family matriarch, Elodia Torres. We were blessed to know the wonderful and wise woman whose loving support and encouragement spawned several generations of dedicated folkloristas. We will miss her and dedicate our work to her memory. Thank you, Torres Family for all you do.

Thank you Maria Luisa for your posting.... I will always be grateful to mama for taking Patricia and I to our first dance practice.... not only did it begin a beautiful journey to learn about our culture through dance, but also it brought us many wonderful and lifelong friendships. Once again, it is with deepest sympathies that our family offers it's condolences on the passing of your father, Ascencion Torres. The love that he had for your Mom is reflected in the love and respect that your whole family has for each other. Be at peace now, knowing that they rest together for always.
